Two different weddings...two types of flowers! We have had soo many weddings this year and they either had braids in them or flowers...or both! It was alot of fun to accessorize with those things!
The make up photos are done by Samantha Mattice, she was our Bijou girl who got married not too long ago! She is awesome at the eyes, everyone in the shop runs over to see what she has done next! We're always awestruck! That girl is a natural!!

Fall workshop follow up! Check it out!
Remember the fall workshop from the SU students. How we were lucky enough to have one come in and write a story in pictures? Well let me inform you that they finished their website and the pictures are up. YOU can see all the stories they took in Skaneateles. Click HERE and have a ball perusing the site! Here are a couple of my favorites....one of my favorite reporters...i just read his editorial about this and could not wait to see the photo story..he's an inspiration!..everyone knows Chris.....how about our favorite place...the hook and cleaver......and farms, check out these guys...we all know em'... I'm going to spend my morning reading/looking at the people I know of Skaneateles!!! AND BE SURE TO CHECK OUT BIJOU'S STORY....SOOOO EXCITING! Thank you again, Daniel and all of the SU student photographers...Skaneateles was lucky to be chosen again!!
Oh my goodness...check out the video's this one was excellent! And how cool that we know all these girls..what strong young women! Ahhhh, and how could I have missed this one...it's the Ramsgard family! And this one..this one really touched me, read the bottom text of that photo slideshow!
What a wonderful day!
Today was our Baremineral Party! Of course I made too much food, but what can I say? I'm German, my mother brought me up to feed guests and that part I do very well:)
This was our first party and what a blast we had, we had no learning curve to go by, but that was okay, it was just a bunch of girls eating chocolate, cheese & crackers and drinking various wines! How perfect!
Everyone started in the facial room, cleansing their face, used a hot towel to remove the cleanser, tone and then moisturize. Then on to foundation, cheeks and eyes! Samantha rocked the eyes, then she had to leave so Courtney jumped in! Stacy was on lips and that group seemed to laugh the loudest! Lori even joined in and Michele was there for Moral support:) It was, as usual a great feel in the salon!
This morning, while checking my emails, I read Susan Major's blog, as soon as I get an email from her blog, I'm always quick to read it, I just love it! Today's post really touched me, partially because it was what I needed to hear. She is a lovely writer and is known for her insight into thoughts that are sometimes so crowded and hidden under lives...she see's it and writes about it and for that I adore her! There are so many of her posts that I just sit and read, sometimes two or three times. I encourage you to go to her blog and read through the archives...Today's was one of my favorites...here is another one of my favorites..they both "speak" to me:) (don't forget to click on each highlighted sentence..it will take you "there":)

What the heck is a "Pink cow bingo" anyway???
Okay, so you've been hearing and seeing images of Betsey..the pink cow...all around town, and everytime you ask yourself..."What is a pink cow bingo, anway?"
Let me clear some things up...I have it straight from Betsey herself! Hehehe - Actually, truth be told, there are TWO Betsey's! AND one Dairy Princess! Here is the deal...basically- think...football pool! See that football field up above...now you know, whichever square you buy, if at the end of the game, your square falls on the correct score of the game...YOU WIN! Well it's the same for the Pink cow bingo...but it's all about the manure and who's square it falls on!
See...like this...you will have a grid on the ground, two cows let loose from each side of the arena and the dairy princess leading them both..all the while feeding them and waiting to document the plop. It's all very technical of course, just like the football pool and besides it's for a good cause and to appease your gambling craving...I know you are all itching to get in on football pools, here is some easy practice and it's all live. The tickets are $25 each, or 5 for $100, but the great thing is, they are dual purposed tickets! Let me tell you allllllll about it!
They are not only your designated space, waiting for a plop of manure, but they are also your admission into the event! PLUS, while we are all waiting for the two Betsey's to give you a "return" on your investment..he-he-he! Your ticket also serves as a raffle ticket. So during the wait, however long it may be, fabulous prizes will be announced and given away! (There will even be a fabulous one from Bijou!)
So if you would like to have a fun and crazy afternoon out, that is good for the whole entire family, if you would like to see some cow's that hopefully will be donning pink attire for the event...or if you would like to be a part of voting for the "People's choice awards" for the best decorated porta potty!....Yep, you guessed it..Bijou has a porta potty that will be "Bijou-adorable"...it's a dollar to vote, and of course that allows you into the porta potty to - eh, you know..do like the cows...or maybe not, I guarantee, it will be the nicest porta potty around:)
